Subject: Happy (Chinese) New Years
The second night of the run is better than the first, having had some of the cobwebs dusted off. Again, as a whole show it is decent, perhaps a show that was better to be at than listen to years later. But it is not a bad show, better than mediocre, and many good moments abound. Phil is bombing his bass every chance he gets. Bird Song flies, and is pretty to look at. Hell In A Bucket sees Bobby giving off his fireworks and Phil is launching bombs. Man Smart Women Smarter is not my favorite tune, but this one swings, and while its singing, bobby leads into an improv Iko jam and starts to shout the chorus, but they quickly go back to Man Smart, but not without a grin and a few chuckles first. Jerry gets awfully spirited during the guitar work throughout, and suprisingly during Johnny Be Good, an encore I could take or leave. But after listening to how much fun Jerry was having playing it, I didn't want to leave.

Subject: BUSTED!
Was there.
First Shows after Jerry's infamous GG Park Drug Bust... First Shows with the RED T-Shirt

HUGE crowd reaction to the BUSTED line in Truckin' and Jerry responds in Kind with a huge "just won't let you beee...no no no no!"

Subject: great show, great recording
This version is better quality than the sbd. I was at this show and the joint was jumpin'. Lots of energy. This aud recording really captures the sound of HJK. Put on the phones, turn it up and you are there.
